The Night Sky for the Week of 10-5-25

From October 3–12, the night sky offers numerous highlights for stargazers. Early in the week, bright Vega dominates the western sky, with Draco and Lyra nearby. Saturn appears near the Moon on October 4–5, while the Harvest Moon peaks on October 6, illuminating the evening hours. Jupiter rises in Gemini after midnight, with Io, Europa, and Titan casting occasional shadows in early mornings. As the Moon wanes, it passes the Pleiades and approaches Castor and Pollux. The planets Venus rising before dawn, Saturn prominent in the southeast after dark, and Uranus and Neptune are visible with binoculars. https://skyandtelescope.org/astronomy-news/observing-news/this-weeks-sky-at-a-glance-october-3-12/
