Astronomical Events for 2024

In March and April 2024, there will be several astronomical events that people can observe. On March 25th, there will be a penumbral lunar eclipse visible across North America, South America, western Europe, western Africa, Japan, New Zealand, and part of Australia. On April 8th, North America will experience a total solar eclipse, while the rest of the continent will observe a partial solar eclipse. People in the Northern Hemisphere may see two meteor showers in April and May, while those in the Southern Hemisphere will have the chance to see the best meteor shower of the year. Additionally, on June 29th, early morning risers will be able to see the moon align with Jupiter, Mars, and Saturn. In August, the Perseid meteor shower will be at its peak, and on August 19th, there will be a Blue Moon.
